What this tool does
It tracks day by day the feature flags and experiments that ChatGPT activates client-side, archives every state, and publishes a weekly summary of new entries. It is continuous product monitoring of what OpenAI tests before rollout: a flag usually shows up days or weeks before the feature is publicly announced, when it ships at all.
Where the data comes from
From the public chatgpt.com page itself. On every load, ChatGPT embeds in the HTML a Statsig payload (feature_gates, dynamic_configs, layer_configs) that drives feature exposure. We read this public payload, with no account and no privileged access. It started as an in-house browser extension intercepting the payload; the current collector does not need a browser at all.
What can be read, and what stays opaque
The current state holds about 577 gates, 159 configs and 205 layers. Gates are hashed identifiers: you can see an experiment exists and whether it is active, but not what it is called. Dynamic configs and layers, however, expose readable values (parameters, labels, prompts, ID lists): that is where the interpretable material lives. The flag base is identical for every user; a thin per-account or per-segment layer sits on top, which we treat as noise.
Reading limits : a new entry is the first appearance of an identifier; a disappearance is only a probable-removal signal; bare gates stay opaque for lack of a name. Nothing here proves a feature will ship, or when.
Monitoring focus
Priority goes to search, web run, retrieval and grounding, and ads. In other words, how ChatGPT fetches, cites and weighs its sources, and how advertising slots into that. Any config or experiment with readable material (parameters, thresholds, labels) is also covered. The rest is listed compactly. This focus reflects RESONEO's SEO and GEO angle.

Gates have no readable name or value: they default to "other" and are hidden by default (pick "All types" or "gates" to show them). The theme of configs and layers is keyword-detected inside their values, a heuristic that can miss in both directions. By default the table only shows entries first seen in the last 30 days: pick "All dates" for the full catalog, removals included (an entry whose "Last seen" predates the latest collection has probably been removed).
